Planck's Place

Welcome. If you are here, then more than likely it means you were invited. What is a blog you say? Well, it's a type of website run a bit like a news letter. I can edit and add things as often as I like. So in a way it's a journal online. I created this just to share with our family and friends across the miles. Check back often and add comments when you feel so compelled. Most of the photos are of Emily, but if you look often enough, you will catch the occasional one of Tony and I.

The Big 4th Birthday Party

Emily's 4th Birthday party was Saturday the 25th. (Her actual birthday was Tuesday the 21st) We had a great turn out at Chuck E Cheese's, a local pizza parlor and childrens playground entertainment center.....

The day started out playing with the castle kitchen that we got for her, it's all she has wanted since before Christmas last year. Then Grampie and Gramie came over before the party and brought loads of goodies. We headed over to the pizza place and friends began to show. The animated characters sang and danced and wished Emily happy birthday. She ate pizza, cake and opened gifts with friends. Afterwards, we came home and she played with a few of her toys and watched a movie before bedtime. All in all it was a very busy day, and a fun one at the, she slept well last night!

Look what Mom and Daddy got me!

4 YEARS OLD!

Emily turned 4 on the 21st. My how time flies. Her party isn't until this Saturday the 25th, so it's hard to remember that today was the day. She got a new Booster seat and is completely thrilled, you would think she got a million dollars... She's so very excited that she is now a big girl at 4 and doesn't have to ride in a "baby" car seat now.

Happy Fathers Day

I know, I haven't been here in a while. I planned to post more photos more often. Life just happens you know! I am off work for the summer now, and I do have a ton of photos to upload, so check back. They are coming! I hope everyone is doing well these days.....

Happy Fathers Day to you all, The morning started out with gifties for Daddy from Emily, big hugs and fun. Then we got dressed, and headed out to Grammie and Grampies. The family went out about 40 miles East to the Columbia River Gorge. We ate brunch below the "Bridge of the Gods" then headed over to the Bonneville Dam, for a walk around the gardens, and fishery. Emily was thrilled by the sturgeon ponds, and had a blast feeding the rainbow trout. On the way home, we madeone more stop at Multnomah Falls. Emily had never seen teh "big water" and it was a special treat because a local tourist chapet was there with festivites and Smokey the Bear. She is still talking about it! All in all, it was a great day. I hope everyone had a fantastic day also!

8 MILE

A fantastic day for an 8 mile hike up Dog Mt. 3 friends and I worked our way to the top and back down friday afternoon. The trail we took was an approx 2800 foot elevation gain in 3.5 miles, this translates to steep, very steep! I was dang near crippled because I am no where near being in this kinda shape, but it was so worth the beauty, I would do it again this weekend. You cannot really tell from the photos, but the fields on top, are acres and acres of wildflowers, this isn't meadow grass, it's all flowers just about, as far as you can see! Thank you to my friends for going so very very slow and making it a great journey. Here are some more photos to share from the hike. And suprizingly, I wasn't half a sore as I thought I would be the next day or two after.... Absolutely amazing!
