Planck's Place

Welcome. If you are here, then more than likely it means you were invited. What is a blog you say? Well, it's a type of website run a bit like a news letter. I can edit and add things as often as I like. So in a way it's a journal online. I created this just to share with our family and friends across the miles. Check back often and add comments when you feel so compelled. Most of the photos are of Emily, but if you look often enough, you will catch the occasional one of Tony and I.

Trillium Lake

Sunday we went up to Trillium Lake for our annual letterbox set check up. The weather threatened to rain all day, but never did, it stayed cool, and that was all right with us!

Happy day goes out to Uncle Brian in Jersey. Holla!

Emily and I visited Grampie and Gramie at their house, and called Uncle Brian to wish him a happy day. Emily started to say hello, then chickened out over the phone. Here's a couple shots...

Last Thursday we just up and ran off to the beach for the afternoon. Here's some fun photos to share...

Every summer the hummingbirds flock to the feeders here. This little girl was sitting in our tree, licking her lips, waiting her turn before sunset.

More Utah Photos

OK it only took me 3 weeks to get something together, and you have no idea how much I really did work on it! Between life, Emily, and other projects.... So I posted a whole bunch of Utah photos here:
  • Utah Road Trip 2006
  • the better canyon stuff is from the middle to the end, it may take a while to load there are over 400 images there, but you can pick and choose which ones to view, so enjoy! Cyndie

Today Millie and I went to a local park with friends to feed the ducks and play. We saw lots of birds, and ducks galore! I am bit frustrated with my big lens, it seems to be a bit unsharp these days, time to send it in for service I think, sigh....

    An Ariel Shot

Here's a quick ariel shot I took during our helicopter ride over Bryce Canyon

This years summer vacation found us in Utah exploring the many canyons and sights to see. We went to Kolobs, Zion, Bryce, Kodachrome Basin, Pink Ledges, Red Canyon, Devils Garden, Snow Canyon, and so many, many more. It was so much fun, and never long enough. We hiked, drove, toured, walked, explored and everything in between you can think of while there. We saw so many things I cannot even begin to post all the photos, I took over a thousand! Here are a couple for starters. I am working on putting the top 500 or so on a DVD for a slide show. I'll post more here as I start editing them, enjoy!
This is Emily with her camel back, starting up the trail at Pink Ledges.

This is in the Kodachrome Basin, that's a petrified geyser! And that is our huge Dodge truck on the right.
